Your car charged fine but now it will not start, shows a warning, or is unresponsive. This is rare but not as scary as it sounds. Here is what to check.

What to try first

Check if the charging cable is still locked in

Some cars will not enter drive mode while the cable is connected. Make sure the session has ended and the cable is fully removed. If it is stuck, see the connector release scenario.

Check the 12V battery

EVs have a small 12V battery that powers the electronics (dashboard, locks, computers). If this battery is dead, the car will not turn on even if the main battery is full. Try opening and closing the door, or pressing the brake and start button firmly.
