EVcourse ("we," "our," or "us") provides EV charging help through our website and the EVcourse mobile app. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

Service Description

EVcourse provides EV charging help through a charger screen scanner, step-by-step troubleshooting guides, and charging feedback logging. Available on iOS. Android coming later.

All content is general guidance only and may not cover every charging situation. For persistent problems, contact your vehicle manufacturer, charging network provider, or a qualified technician.

• No Guarantee: Content and estimates are provided as general guidance. We do not guarantee they will resolve your specific issue or match real-world results.
• Not Professional Advice: Our services do not replace professional automotive or electrical advice. For safety-related issues, consult qualified professionals. EVcourse does not replace manufacturer guidelines, local regulations, or professional training requirements.
• Third-Party Information: Charging provider information may change without notice. We are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party contact details or services.
• Illustrative Images: Images used in the app are illustrative only and may not exactly represent the equipment, connectors, or steps shown in your specific situation. Always refer to the physical equipment in front of you.
• AI Interpretation: Scan results generated by the AI layer are produced by a third-party AI model and may not be accurate. EVcourse provides informational guidance only, not professional electrical or automotive advice. Always follow your vehicle manufacturer's instructions and the charger's own on-screen guidance.
• Service Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may modify or discontinue services at any time.

Age Restriction

You must be at least 16 years old to use EVcourse. By using our services, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 16, please do not use our services.

Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Use our services for lawful purposes only
• Not create team names that are offensive, hateful, illegal, or impersonate other companies or organizations
• Not access our services through automated means (bots, scrapers, or scripts) without prior written permission
• Use one account per person. Cross-device sync is available via Apple Sign-In
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or disrupt our services
• Not interfere with the security or integrity of our systems
• Acknowledge that charging issues may require professional assistance beyond what our app covers
• Always follow your vehicle manufacturer's guidance and charger instructions

Usage Limits

Some features have usage limits. Details are shown in the app.

User-Generated Content

Content you submit (feedback, team names, suggestions) grants EVcourse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and analyze it for providing and improving our services. We may remove any content at our discretion. You can delete your data by deleting your account.

Permissions (App)

The app may request access to your camera, location, and notifications. All permissions are optional and can be revoked in your device settings at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled.

Paid Products and Subscriptions

EVcourse offers a one-time scan pack and an auto-renewable Pro subscription. Prices are shown in the App Store. All payments are processed by Apple.

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period
• Cancel anytime in your device settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions)
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription

EVcourse does not collect or store payment card details.

B2B Terms

If you create or join a team, team creators are responsible for informing members about data collection. All content is general guidance, not professional advice. There is no guaranteed SLA.

Refunds

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store). Refund requests must be submitted through Apple as the merchant of record. EVcourse does not process payments or issue refunds directly.

EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive. If you have questions, email finn@evcourse.com.

Intellectual Property

EVcourse™ is a registered trademark in the European Union. All content, features, and functionality of EVcourse services are owned by EVcourse (Oy Finnovatec Ltd) and protected by copyright and trademark laws. EV manufacturer data and vehicle specifications are approximate. Please check your car's data and specs for details.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EVcourse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. This includes damages resulting from following app content, inaccurate information, or any damage to your vehicle or equipment.

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. EVcourse does not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any content will be accurate or complete. You use our services entirely at your own risk.

In no event shall EVcourse's total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you have paid to EVcourse in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Force Majeure

EVcourse shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, power outages, internet or telecommunications failures, government actions, or third-party service disruptions.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to other users, our services, or our business. For paid products, termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund.

You may stop using our services at any time. You can cancel your subscription in your device settings at any time. You can delete your account in the app via Profile > Delete Account, or by emailing us.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland and the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Finland.
