Overview

EVcourse ("we," "our," or "us") provides EV charging education through our website and the EVcourse mobile app. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

Service Description

Our services include:

• Step-by-step charging scenarios covering EV charging related topics
• Charging feedback logging
• Push notifications (optional, can be turned on and off in the app)
• Location-based features to show relevant regional information (in the app)
• Teams: create or join a team to share charging feedback with your colleagues
• Pro Analytics: a paid subscription for detailed team-wide analytics. See pricing for current details

The educational content is general guidance only and may not cover every charging situation. For persistent problems, contact your vehicle manufacturer, charging network provider, or a qualified technician.

Disclaimers

• No Guarantee: Educational content and estimates are provided as general guidance. We do not guarantee they will resolve your specific issue or match real-world results.
• Not Professional Advice: Our services do not replace professional automotive or electrical advice. For safety-related issues, consult qualified professionals.
• Not a Certification: EVcourse provides educational information about electric vehicle charging. Completing scenarios does not constitute a certification or qualification. EVcourse does not replace manufacturer guidelines, local regulations, or professional training requirements.
• Third-Party Information: Charging provider information may change without notice. We are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party contact details or services.
• Illustrative Images: Images used in the app are illustrative only and may not exactly represent the equipment, connectors, or steps shown in your specific situation. Always refer to the physical equipment in front of you.
• Service Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may modify or discontinue services at any time.

Age Restriction

You must be at least 16 years old to use EVcourse. By using our services, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 16, please do not use our services.

Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Use our services for lawful purposes only
• Not create team names that are offensive, hateful, illegal, or impersonate other companies or organizations
• Not access our services through automated means (bots, scrapers, or scripts) without prior written permission
• Use one account per person. Cross-device sync is available via Apple Sign-In
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or disrupt our services
• Not interfere with the security or integrity of our systems
• Acknowledge that charging issues may require professional assistance beyond what our educational content covers
• Always follow your vehicle manufacturer's guidance and charger instructions

User-Generated Content

Team names, charging feedback, and other suggestions you submit are user-generated content. When you create a team name, submit charging feedback, or submit suggestions, you grant EVcourse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and analyze that content for the purpose of providing and improving our services. Team names are visible to other members of the same team. Suggestions may be reviewed and incorporated into the app.

EVcourse reserves the right to remove any user-generated content at its sole discretion, without prior notice. This includes content that is offensive, misleading, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate. Charging feedback is submitted anonymously. You can delete all your data by deleting your account in the app.

Notifications (App)

The app may send push notifications if you opt in. You can turn notifications on and off at any time within the app or through your device settings.

Location Services (App)

With your permission, the app accesses your device's location to provide region-specific information. You can disable location access in your device settings at any time. The app will continue to function with limited features.

Data & Privacy

Your configuration data is stored locally in your browser or device. We use analytics for aggregate traffic statistics but do not track individual users. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.

Paid Products

Anyone can create a team for free. Pro Analytics is a paid subscription for detailed team-wide analytics. See pricing for current details and pricing.

B2B Terms

If you create a team or subscribe to Pro Analytics, these additional terms apply:

• Team creators are responsible for informing team members about data collection when sharing the team code
• All troubleshooting content is general guidance, not professional advice (see Disclaimers above)

Service Level

The app is distributed via the public App Store and Google Play. There is no guaranteed SLA. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Refunds

EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive. If you have questions about a refund, email nina@evcourse.com.

Intellectual Property

EVcourse™ is a registered trademark in the European Union. All content, features, and functionality of EVcourse services are owned by EVcourse (Oy Finnovatec Ltd) and protected by copyright and trademark laws. EV manufacturer data and vehicle specifications are approximate. Please check your car's data and specs for details.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EVcourse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. This includes damages resulting from following educational content, inaccurate information, or any damage to your vehicle or equipment.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to other users, our services, or our business. For paid products, termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund.

You may stop using our services at any time. You can delete your account in the app via Profile > Delete Account, or by emailing us. If you have a paid subscription, it will remain active until the end of its paid period but will not renew.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland and the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Finland.
