The practical rules and limitations that apply when you use the EVcourse website or app.

About EVcourse
EVcourse is operated by Oy Finnovatec Ltd in Finland. It provides educational troubleshooting information about electric vehicle charging through a mobile app, together with this website and related support.
By using EVcourse, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Not a charging provider or roaming app
EVcourse is not a charging network, e-mobility service provider, payment service, charger operator, or roaming app. It cannot start, stop, reserve, unlock, authorize, or pay for a charging session.
To charge a vehicle, use the charger instructions, operator app, RFID card, payment terminal, vehicle settings, or other method provided by the relevant charging network or site operator.
General guidance, not professional advice
Charging equipment, vehicles, operator processes, and safety requirements vary. Always follow the instructions on the equipment and in your vehicle manual. Stop and seek qualified help if you see damage, smoke, unusual heat, exposed wiring, or any other safety concern.
Using the service
You may use EVcourse for personal, lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- Copy, resell, sublicense, or redistribute substantial parts of the app or its content.
- Reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or bypass security measures in the app or website, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Use EVcourse in a way that harms another person, vehicle, charging site, or service.
- Present EVcourse guidance as certified training or a substitute for legally required instruction.
Availability and changes
The offline troubleshooting library is designed to be readable without a connection after the app and its content have been downloaded. Nearby EV charger search and some optional features are online features and require an internet connection. We do not guarantee that every feature, guide, device, charging situation, or charger search result will always be available or supported.
Feature availability may vary by app version. Some versions may include optional online features such as scanning, explanations, charging history, account-related functionality, or paid features.
EVcourse is a small independent project. We may update, remove, or discontinue features or the service. We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but we do not promise continuous support or a service-level agreement.
App Store purchases
If a version of EVcourse offers a paid download or in-app purchase, the price and product details shown in the App Store at the time of purchase apply. Apple processes payment, cancellation, and refund requests under its terms and applicable consumer law. EVcourse does not receive your full card details.
Intellectual property
EVcourse, its original content, design, and software are owned by Oy Finnovatec Ltd or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. EVcourse™ is a registered European Union trademark. Vehicle, charger, and operator names belong to their respective owners. Reference to them does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
No warranties
To the extent permitted by law, EVcourse is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the information is complete, current, error-free, suitable for every vehicle or charger, or guaranteed to start charging or resolve a charging problem.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oy Finnovatec Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from your use of EVcourse, including loss caused by inaccurate information, service interruption, or damage to a vehicle or charging equipment.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability for claims relating to EVcourse is limited to the amount you paid for EVcourse during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
Third-party services
EVcourse may link to Apple, charger operators, roadside assistance, or other third parties. Their services and content are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party availability or accuracy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Finnish law, without removing any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of your country of residence. Disputes may be brought before the competent courts in Finland, unless mandatory law gives you another forum.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or law changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes apply from the date stated in the updated terms.
