Updated March 2026

Share

This is general guidance based on the ChargeX MREC standard. Actual charger behavior varies by manufacturer and firmware version. Always follow on-screen instructions and contact the charging network if you are unsure.

Warning

Your vehicle has paused charging. The charger is ready but your car is not requesting power. This often happens when the battery is nearly full, the battery is too hot or cold, or a scheduled charging timer is active.

What to do

  1. Check your vehicle's dashboard for charging status or warnings
  2. Check if a charging schedule or timer is active in your car's settings
  3. If the battery is very hot or cold, wait for it to reach a better temperature
  4. If none of these apply, restart your vehicle and try again

Who's responsible?

  • This may be a vehicle issue
  • This may be something you can fix yourself
