This is general guidance based on the ChargeX MREC standard. Actual charger behavior varies by manufacturer and firmware version. Always follow on-screen instructions and contact the charging network if you are unsure.

Warning

The charger failed to lock or unlock the connector on the vehicle side. This is often a user or vehicle issue.

What to do

  1. Unplug the connector and try plugging it in again firmly
  2. Make sure your car is unlocked before attempting to charge
  3. Try a different connector on the same charger if available
  4. Contact the charging network if the issue persists
