This is general guidance based on the ChargeX MREC standard. Actual charger behavior varies by manufacturer and firmware version. Always follow on-screen instructions and contact the charging network if you are unsure.
Critical
Your vehicle's battery voltage is below the expected minimum. This can happen if the battery is nearly empty or has a fault. Some chargers cannot charge a battery that is too deeply discharged.
What to do
- If your battery is very low (below 5%), try an AC (slow) charger first to bring it up slightly
- Try a different DC charger. Some handle low-voltage batteries better
- If the car cannot charge at all, contact roadside assistance or your vehicle manufacturer
Who's responsible?
- This may be a vehicle issue
