This is general guidance based on the ChargeX MREC standard. Actual charger behavior varies by manufacturer and firmware version. Always follow on-screen instructions and contact the charging network if you are unsure.

Critical

Your vehicle has detected a fault in the high-voltage battery pack. Charging has been stopped as a safety precaution. This is a serious vehicle-side issue.

What to do

  1. Do not attempt to charge again until the issue is diagnosed
  2. Note the exact error message and any warning lights on your dashboard
  3. Contact your vehicle manufacturer or dealer immediately
  4. If you smell burning or see smoke, move away from the vehicle and call emergency services
