This is general guidance based on the ChargeX MREC standard. Actual charger behavior varies by manufacturer and firmware version. Always follow on-screen instructions and contact the charging network if you are unsure.

Warning

The charger or network cannot find an account linked to your card or device. This often happens when using an RFID card that has not been activated or registered with the charging network.

What to do

  1. Check that your RFID card is registered and activated in the network's app
  2. Try using the app directly instead of tapping a card
  3. If you are using a roaming card from a different provider, check that roaming is supported at this station
  4. Contact the network's support if you believe your account should be valid
