Scanner Use Case

Charger or car limiting power? Scan to understand what is happening.

The situation

You are charging but the power is much lower than the charger's rated speed. The charger says 150 kW but you are getting 35 kW. Something is limiting the power and you cannot tell from the screen whether it is the charger, your car, or something else entirely. You need to know if waiting will help or if you should find another charger.

How the scanner helps

Scan the charging screen on both the charger and your dashboard. The scanner identifies the bottleneck: is your battery too full for peak speed (tapering), too cold or too hot (thermal management), is the charger sharing power with another car, or is the charger itself derated? You get an explanation and a recommendation.

What to do

  1. 1

Scan the charger screen showing current power delivery

  2. 2

Scan your car's dashboard charging screen for additional context

  3. 3

Read the identified cause of the power limitation

  4. 4

Decide whether to wait (if temporary) or move (if charger-side)
