Share

This is general guidance based on the ChargeX MREC standard. Actual charger behavior varies by manufacturer and firmware version. Always follow on-screen instructions and contact the charging network if you are unsure.

Warning

The charging cable or connector is too hot. The charger is reducing power to prevent damage. Charging continues but at a lower speed.

What to do

  1. Charging continues but at reduced speed. This may resolve on its own
  2. Avoid handling the cable if it feels very hot
  3. If power reduces significantly, try a different connector
  4. Report to the network if this happens repeatedly at the same unit

Who's responsible?

  • This is likely a charger hardware issue
