This is general guidance based on the ChargeX MREC standard. Actual charger behavior varies by manufacturer and firmware version. Always follow on-screen instructions and contact the charging network if you are unsure.

Critical

The charging cable or connector overheated and the session was stopped to prevent damage or fire risk.

What to do

  1. Do not touch the cable. Let it cool down
  2. Unplug once it is safe to do so
  3. Move to a different charger
  4. Report the unit to the charging network
