Scanner Use Case
Charger warning about idle fees? Scan to understand the cost.
Updated March 2026
The situation
Charging finished and the screen is now showing a warning about idle fees, or you see a timer counting. You are not sure how much time you have before extra charges start, how much the idle fee is, or whether you need to end the session on screen before unplugging to stop the clock.
How the scanner helps
Scan the warning screen and the scanner explains the idle fee structure. How much per minute, whether there is a grace period, and exactly what you need to do to stop the charges. Some networks charge idle fees even after you unplug if you do not end the session, and the scanner catches that too.
What to do
- 1
Scan the idle fee warning on the charger screen
- 2
Check the fee amount and any grace period the scanner identifies
- 3
End the session on screen if required before unplugging
- 4
Unplug and move your car to free up the charger
