Explanation
A charging session is a single, continuous charging event at one charger. It starts when you plug in and authenticate (via app, RFID card, or Plug & Charge) and ends when you stop the session and unplug. Your charging app and the charger both track each session with details like duration, energy delivered, peak power, and cost.
Each session generates a receipt or transaction record showing the kWh delivered, the total cost, and the pricing breakdown. If you are part of a team using EVcourse, logging how each session went (good, okay, or bad) takes just one or two taps and helps identify recurring issues.
Sessions can be interrupted. If the charger loses communication, your car reaches its charge limit, or someone uses the app to stop the session remotely, it ends. Most networks allow you to start a new session immediately if needed. Some chargers require you to unplug and replug to start a fresh session.
