This is general guidance based on the ChargeX MREC standard. Actual charger behavior varies by manufacturer and firmware version. Always follow on-screen instructions and contact the charging network if you are unsure.

Critical

The over-current protection device has tripped. This means too much current was detected, triggering a safety shutoff.

What to do

  1. Unplug and wait 2 to 3 minutes before retrying
  2. Try a different connector or charger unit
  3. If the issue follows your car to other chargers, contact your vehicle manufacturer
