EV Charger Error

Satellite Offline (Kempower)

Updated March 2026

Share

This is general guidance based on the ChargeX MREC standard. Actual charger behavior varies by manufacturer and firmware version. Always follow on-screen instructions and contact the charging network if you are unsure.

Critical

The Kempower satellite (the charging post with the cable) has lost connection to the power unit. Kempower systems use a central power unit that distributes power to multiple satellites. If the link is broken, the satellite cannot charge.

What to do

  1. Try a different Kempower satellite at the same location
  2. If all satellites are offline, the central power unit may be down
  3. Report the issue to the charging network with the satellite number
  4. This requires a technician to restore the connection

Who's responsible?

  • This is likely a charger hardware issue
  • The charging network operator needs to fix this
