Warning
The charging cable is locked in your vehicle's charge port and you cannot remove it. This is normal during active charging but can become a problem if the session ends and the lock does not release.
What to do
- Make sure the charging session has fully ended in the charger and your car
- Try unlocking your vehicle with the key fob or app. Many cars release the cable when unlocked
- Check your vehicle's manual for an emergency cable release (often a small pull tab in the trunk or near the port)
- Do not force the cable out. You can damage the connector or your charge port
