This is general guidance based on the ChargeX MREC standard. Actual charger behavior varies by manufacturer and firmware version. Always follow on-screen instructions and contact the charging network if you are unsure.

Warning

The cable is stretched tight between the charger and your vehicle. Excessive tension can cause the connector to partially disengage or damage the charge port.

What to do

  1. Reposition your car closer to the charger if possible
  2. Approach from the other direction if the charge port is on the opposite side
  3. Never force or pull a taut cable. This can damage the connector and your charge port
  4. Some chargers have longer cables on certain connectors. Check if another connector reaches
