Updated March 2026

Share

This is general guidance based on the ChargeX MREC standard. Actual charger behavior varies by manufacturer and firmware version. Always follow on-screen instructions and contact the charging network if you are unsure.

Critical

The ABB charger performs an insulation resistance test before starting DC charging. This test failed, meaning there may be moisture or damage in the cable or connector.

What to do

  1. Check the connector pins for moisture, dirt, or visible damage
  2. Dry the connector if it appears wet and try again
  3. Try the other connector on the same charger if available
  4. If the test keeps failing, move to a different charger and report the issue

Who's responsible?

  • This is likely a charger hardware issue
