Maximizing Winter Range
- Precondition the Scenic E-Tech through the My Renault app while plugged in. The spacious family cabin takes more energy to heat, so warming it from grid power before departure preserves meaningful range.
- Use the heated seats for occupied positions only and keep the cabin temperature moderate. In the Scenic's larger interior, every degree of cabin heating uses proportionally more energy than in a smaller car.
- Keep the Scenic plugged in when parked outdoors in cold weather. The 87 kWh battery maintains its temperature better when connected, and you start each drive with optimal battery performance.
- Navigate to fast chargers using the car's system to trigger battery preconditioning. This ensures the Scenic's 150 kW DC charging speed is available even after the car has been parked in freezing conditions.
- The Scenic's generous 480 km summer range means that even with 28% winter loss at -20C, you still have roughly 345 km available. For most families, this covers a full week of driving without needing to change charging habits.
