The situation

You have pulled up to a public charger for the first time. There is a screen with options, one or two cables hanging from the unit, and maybe a card reader or QR code. You are not sure what to do first, plug in or authorize? Tap or use an app? The screen has numbers and abbreviations you have never seen.

How the scanner helps

Scan the charger screen and get a step-by-step explanation of what it is showing you. The scanner identifies whether the charger is ready, what payment method it expects, and what the displayed power and connector information means. It turns a confusing first experience into a guided one.

What to do

  1. 1

Scan the charger's idle or welcome screen

  2. 2

Read which payment or authorization method the charger expects

  3. 3

Follow the identified steps to start a session

  4. 4

Scan again during charging to understand the power and energy display
