The situation

Your dashboard is showing a battery-related warning icon or message. It might be yellow, orange, or red. You do not know if this means pull over immediately, get to a dealer soon, or just keep driving. The owner's manual is in the glovebox and it is 400 pages long. You need an answer now.

How the scanner helps

Scan the warning icon or message on your dashboard. The scanner identifies the specific warning and tells you the severity. Is it a temperature advisory that will resolve on its own? A degradation notice that is informational only? Or something that requires immediate attention? You get clarity in seconds.

What to do

  1. 1

Scan the warning icon or message on your dashboard while safely parked

  2. 2

Read the severity assessment and what the warning means

  3. 3

Follow the recommended action, whether that is continuing to drive, adjusting your charging, or contacting service

  4. 4

Note the scan result for your next service appointment if relevant
