Why the Škoda Enyaq?

  • 455 km WLTP rated range gives massive headroom above the 80 km daily requirement
  • Practical Skoda design with large boot and functional interior layout
  • Competitive purchase price supports public procurement budget requirements
  • 11 kW AC charging fully replenishes daily use in about 90 minutes overnight

Key Specifications

Battery (useable) 77 kWh
WLTP range 586 km
Consumption 169 Wh/km
Max DC charging 135 kW
DC charge (10-80%) ~40 min
AC full charge (11 kW) ~7 h

Charging Strategy for Municipal and Public Sector

Charge at the depot overnight using 11 kW AC. An 80 km day uses roughly 14 kWh, which takes about 75 minutes to replenish. You could comfortably charge every second or third night and still have range to spare. The Enyaq's large battery means even in winter, daily routes are never a concern.

Overnight AC charging (recommended)

Plugging in at a depot or home charger (7-22 kW) overnight fully replenishes the battery. At 11 kW, the Škoda Enyaq charges from empty in approximately 7 hours, easily done overnight.

Mid-day DC top-up

If overnight charging is not available, a DC fast charge during a break can add enough range. At 135 kW peak, the Škoda Enyaq charges from 10% to 80% in roughly 40 minutes.

Based on 80 km/day, 22 working days/month. EV: 169 Wh/km at EUR 0.12/kWh (home charging). ICE: 7 L/100 km at EUR 1.70/L.

Practical Tips

  • The Enyaq's competitive price point helps meet public sector value-for-money procurement criteria
  • With such low daily consumption, consider sharing chargers across multiple vehicles on a rotation schedule
  • The large boot fits safety cones, inspection tools, and document boxes without folding seats
  • Winter range reduction is barely noticeable at 80 km per day, even a 25% drop leaves over 340 km available

Operational Notes

The Enyaq's 455 km range is more than five times the daily requirement. Its spacious SUV format works for carrying equipment, transporting staff, or mixed municipal duties. Excellent value compared to premium alternatives.
