Winter Range

Peugeot e-Expert Winter Range

Updated March 2026

The Peugeot e-Expert faces winter with a 75 kWh battery but no heat pump and no preconditioning. Its larger battery provides more buffer than smaller vans, but the high 300 Wh/km consumption means cold weather still has a noticeable impact. Drivers using our app report that depot preparation and route planning are the best defenses. In cold weather, expect roughly 241 km at -10°C, a loss of about 27%. These are estimates and your actual range will vary. Check your vehicle's manual for exact specifications.

Maximizing Winter Range

  • Expect about 35% range loss at -20C (about 163 km) and about 25% at -10C (about 188 km) without a heat pump. The larger battery helps, but plan conservatively.
  • Use seat heating as your primary warmth source. The e-Expert's resistive heater must warm a large cab, which draws significant energy from the battery.
  • Park the e-Expert in a heated depot or garage overnight. Without preconditioning, starting the day with a warm battery is the best way to protect morning range.
  • Plan shorter delivery routes in winter. The e-Expert's 250 km range drops to under 165 km in extreme cold, which can be tight for longer delivery days.
  • Charge to a higher level in winter. While 80% is normally the sweet spot, starting the day at 90% or even 100% gives you a critical buffer when cold weather cuts deeply into range.
