Winter Range

Maxus eDeliver 7 Winter Range

Updated March 2026

The Maxus eDeliver 7's large 88.5 kWh battery provides a useful buffer against winter range loss, but without a heat pump or preconditioning, cold weather still takes a significant toll. Drivers using our app report that the bigger battery helps, but heating management is still critical for full delivery days. In cold weather, expect roughly 267 km at -10°C, a loss of about 27%. These are estimates and your actual range will vary. Check your vehicle's manual for exact specifications.

Maximizing Winter Range

  • Expect about 35% range loss at -20C (about 182 km) and about 25% at -10C (about 210 km) without a heat pump. The large battery absorbs this better than smaller vans, but plan conservatively.
  • Use seat heating and dress warmly instead of relying on the cabin heater. The eDeliver 7's large cab requires significant energy to heat with a resistive heater.
  • Park in a heated depot or garage overnight. Without preconditioning, a cold-soaked 88.5 kWh battery takes a long time to warm up during driving.
  • Take advantage of the 155 kW DC speed for winter top-ups, but expect slower initial speeds until the battery warms up during the session.
  • Plan delivery routes with a winter buffer. Even with the larger battery, losing a third of range in extreme cold means routes need to be shorter than in warmer months.
