Winter Range

Citroën ë-Berlingo Winter Range

Updated March 2026

The Citroen e-Berlingo has a 50 kWh battery, no heat pump, and no preconditioning, which makes winter driving a challenge. Its 215 km rated range shrinks meaningfully in cold weather. Drivers using our app report that adjusting routes and heating habits is essential for winter reliability. In cold weather, expect roughly 204 km at -10°C, a loss of about 27%. These are estimates and your actual range will vary. Check your vehicle's manual for exact specifications.

Maximizing Winter Range

  • Expect about 35% range loss at -20C (about 140 km) and about 25% at -10C (about 160 km) without a heat pump. Plan daily routes well within these limits.
  • Minimize cabin heating and rely on seat heating. The e-Berlingo's resistive heater is one of the biggest drains on the 50 kWh battery in cold weather.
  • Park in a garage or heated space overnight. Without preconditioning, a cold-soaked battery starts the day with reduced capacity and slower charging acceptance.
  • Shorten delivery routes in winter. The e-Berlingo's 215 km range is already compact, and losing a third of it in extreme cold can force unplanned, slow charging stops.
  • When DC fast charging in winter, expect slower speeds initially. The e-Berlingo's battery needs to warm up during the session before it can accept closer to its 100 kW maximum.
