Scanner Use Case
Shared office charger with confusing controls? Scan it.
Updated March 2026
The situation
Your office has a charger in the parking garage but nobody really explained how to use it. There is a screen or a panel with options, maybe a key card reader, maybe a scheduling system. You see other cars plugged in but you are not sure if you are supposed to authenticate first, if there is a queue system, or if you can just plug in.
How the scanner helps
Scan the charger's screen or control panel. The scanner identifies the authentication method, any load management indicators, and the current status of the charger. It tells you whether the charger is available, how to start a session, and whether power is being shared among multiple vehicles.
What to do
- 1
Scan the workplace charger's screen or status panel
- 2
Check if authentication is required (badge, app, or plug-and-charge)
- 3
Look for load balancing or scheduling indicators in the scan results
- 4
Start your session following the identified process
