Understanding Mobilize Fast Charge Charger Screens

Updated March 2026

Share

This guide covers common screen states for Mobilize Fast Charge chargers. Screens may vary by charger model and firmware version.

When you pull up to a Mobilize Fast Charge charger, the screen tells you what the station is doing and what it needs from you. Understanding these screens saves you time and helps you avoid unnecessary frustration. Here is what to expect at each stage of a Mobilize Fast Charge charging session.

Getting started

To start a charging session at a Mobilize Fast Charge charger, you have a few options:

  • App: Open the Mobilize Fast Charge app, select the charger, and start the session from your phone. The charger screen will update once it receives the command.
  • Plug & Charge: If your car supports it, just plug in the cable. The charger and car negotiate payment automatically without any app or card.
  • RFID card: Hold your charging card against the reader. The screen will confirm authorization within a few seconds.

Common screen states

Every charging session moves through a series of states. Here is what each one means on a Mobilize Fast Charge charger.

Idle / Available

The charger is ready to use. You will typically see a welcome screen or a prompt to authenticate. On Mobilize Fast Charge chargers, this means the station is free and waiting for you to start a session.

Authorizing / Waiting for payment

The charger is verifying your payment or identity. This usually takes a few seconds. If you are using the Mobilize Fast Charge app, make sure the session has been initiated before plugging in.

Preparing / Connecting

The charger has recognized your payment and is waiting for the cable to be connected. Plug in the connector firmly until you hear a click. The screen will update once the car and charger start communicating.

Charging in progress

Energy is flowing to your battery. The screen typically shows your current charge rate (kW), energy delivered (kWh), session duration, and estimated cost. Mobilize Fast Charge chargers can deliver up to 300 kW, but your actual speed depends on your car, battery temperature, and state of charge.

Charge complete

Your car has stopped drawing power, either because it reached your charge limit or because the battery is full. Unplug the cable and move your car promptly. Some networks charge idle fees if you stay connected after charging finishes.

Error / Fault

Something went wrong during the session. Common causes include a loose connector, a communication timeout between the car and charger, or a payment issue. Try unplugging and reconnecting. If the error persists, try a different stall or contact support.

Out of service

The charger is offline and cannot start new sessions. This could be due to maintenance, a hardware fault, or a network issue. Check the app for nearby alternatives or try another stall at the same location.

Payment options

Mobilize Fast Charge supports the following payment methods:

  • app
  • RFID
  • Plug & Charge

The approximate ad-hoc DC charging price is around 0.45 EUR/kWh. Subscription plans or roaming cards may offer different rates. Always check the screen or app for the exact price before starting.

Connectors available

Mobilize Fast Charge chargers typically offer these connector types:

  • CCS2

Check your car's charging port to make sure you grab the right cable. Most modern EVs in Europe use CCS2 for DC fast charging and Type 2 for AC charging.
