Tips for Charging with GreenWay in Poland
- GreenWay uses CCS2 connectors, the European standard. No adapter needed for modern EVs.
- Payment is through the GreenWay app only. Download and set up your account before you need to charge.
- Poland's highway network (A1, A2, A4) is getting better coverage, but gaps remain. Plan your stops and do not assume chargers are at every rest area.
- GreenWay's maximum speed is 150 kW. This is sufficient for most EVs, but newer vehicles capable of 250+ kW will not reach their peak charging speed here.
Common Issues
- App-only payment means no charging if your phone dies or you lack mobile signal.
- 150 kW maximum is below the speeds offered by ultra-rapid chargers from other networks.
- Some GreenWay stations are at older retail locations and may have limited parking or access.
- The app interface is primarily in Polish, which can challenge non-Polish-speaking visitors.
Poland has other domestic operators building out highway coverage, giving you alternatives on major routes.
