Small Commercial Fleets
Citroën ë-Berlingo for Small Commercial Fleets
Updated March 2026
The Citroën ë-Berlingo is an affordable compact electric van for small fleets that need cargo capacity without the running costs of a full-size van. With 215 km of WLTP rated range and 800 kg payload, it handles urban deliveries and light commercial tasks. Drivers tell us the low purchase and running costs make it the easiest van to justify when scaling up an electric fleet.

Charging Strategy for Small Commercial Fleets
Charge overnight at the depot or at team members' homes on an 11 kW AC charger. A 100 km day uses about 23 kWh, replenished in roughly two hours. The 215 km range means most days are covered without thinking about charging. For occasional longer routes, a 30-minute DC stop at 100 kW adds meaningful range.
Overnight AC charging (recommended)
Plugging in at a depot or home charger (7-22 kW) overnight fully replenishes the battery. At 11 kW, the Citroën ë-Berlingo charges from empty in approximately 4.5 hours, easily done overnight. For faster turnaround, a 22 kW charger is recommended.
Mid-day DC top-up
If overnight charging is not available, a DC fast charge during a break can add enough range. At 100 kW peak, the Citroën ë-Berlingo charges from 10% to 80% in roughly 35 minutes.
Running Costs: EV vs. Diesel

Estimated monthly savings
€200/month
Based on 100 km/day, 22 working days/month. EV: 233 Wh/km at EUR 0.12/kWh (home charging). ICE: 7 L/100 km at EUR 1.70/L.
Practical Tips
- The low purchase price makes it practical to buy multiple ë-Berlingos when scaling your fleet
- Keep the van for urban and suburban routes, assign cars or larger vans to longer-distance tasks
- The 800 kg payload handles most light commercial cargo without needing a bigger, less efficient van
- Shares parts with the Peugeot e-Partner and Opel Combo-e, so service options are widely available
Operational Notes
The ë-Berlingo covers the 100 km daily requirement with its 215 km range. The 800 kg payload is excellent for a compact van. Its lower range compared to passenger cars means it is best suited for predictable urban routes rather than variable long-distance days.
