What Does Bring Your Own Cable (Type 2 AC) Mean on an EV Charger?

This is general guidance based on U.S. Department of Energy AFDC. Actual charger behavior varies by manufacturer and firmware version. Always follow on-screen instructions and contact the charging network if you are unsure. If anything looks or feels unsafe, stop charging and move away from the charger.
This AC charger does not have a built-in cable. You need to use your own Type 2 charging cable. Most public AC chargers in Europe have a socket but no cable. DC fast chargers always have a built-in cable.
