Why Your Charging Speed May Differ

The Kia EV2 supports up to 115 kW DC charging. Wenea chargers deliver up to 400 kW. Your car's maximum intake is the limiting factor here, capping speed at 115 kW even on a faster charger.

  • Charging slows down above 80% state of charge on most EVs, including the Kia EV2.
  • Cold weather reduces charging speed. If your Kia EV2 supports battery preconditioning, use the built-in navigation to warm the battery before arriving.
  • If multiple cars share the same Wenea station, power may be split between stalls.
