- Use the BMW app to precondition the i4 while plugged in. This warms the battery and cabin on grid power, so you depart with a full, warm battery and a comfortable cabin.
- The i4's standard heat pump keeps cabin heating efficient in cold weather. Use it alongside the heated seats and steering wheel, which provide direct warmth with very little energy draw.
- Set your winter charge limit to 90%. The i4's 80.7 kWh battery at 90% gives you about 370 km even in mild cold, which is more than many EVs offer at full charge in summer.
- Before stopping at a DC fast charger in winter, let the car's preconditioning system warm the battery. The i4's navigation can trigger this automatically when you route to a charger.
